I MUST promote this Taiwanese movie. Ladies & gents, let me introduce you to ‘Monga’ (艋舺) — the latest Taiwanese movie starring Ethan Ruan, Mark Chao, Rhydian Vaughan, and Ma Ru-Long. ‘Monga’ is generally about a Taiwanese gang set in the 1980′s in the Wanhua district of Taipei, Taiwan directed by Doze Niu. Though Taiwanese movies hasn’t had much success in the box office much like Hong Kong movies but this one definitely turned heads. Although I do admit there were some weak moments in the film, the scences of the movie definitely made up for the weak script — the camera work was beautifully shot. It also did capture the life that many had in Taiwan in the 1980′s and the brotherhood that the five created.
Now, I’m not favoring this movie just because I’m part Taiwanese or the fact that I actually personally know Rhydian Vaughan, I’m supporting this movie because I believe it’s a step forward for the film industry in Taiwan. It’s already been released around theaters in Taiwan and has gotten support from Warner Brothers who’ve distributed 120 copies. It’s quite the achievement for this home-grown movie!
For those in the U.S.: don’t worry… I haven’t forgotten you! How do you think I got to watch it? MONGA

So, I’ve been skimming through jewerly sites and came up with something fabulous. Well, it’s new to me…don’t know about some of you: but there’s a 2 finger nameplate ring that Lauren Conrad has been sporting and everyone loves it! And you know what? I do too! It’s been known as the Lauren Conrad ring mainly because she sported it quite a few times on ‘The Hills’. Now co-star Audrina Patridge has one && so does Khloe Kardashian.
I’ve only found 2 online websites that current customize them for you but only in the same cursive font. One with a bold caps font (which isn’t my taste).

Ahhhhhh man! My drink &&& my two step!? Sported my RBKXHLZ and I was NOT disappointed! Fit like a glove and made me wanna walk and swag like Pharrell. Want a pair? Sorry, ladies! Better search through Ebay! These were sold out within just a few hours! I couldn’t even get a true size — had to go a size up but they fit anyway! HellzBellz also collab’d with Vans…and the result?
Damn fly if you ask me! But I couldn’t get a taste of it as it was also sold out completely in hours. Expect more collaborations from HellzBellz soon!
This concept is just…ingenious. I don’t know how these people come up with such ideas. Sagem and Telefonica have taken a regular cellphone SIM card and converted into a Wi-Fi radio!
So, basically how it works is when the card is in the cellphone along with the “SIM toolkit applets,” the control software takes care of the settings and broadcast to create a hotspot to share your 3G HSPA connection via Wi-Fi!

That’s right! You’re looking at a contributing writer for the technology/arts/culture website, GEDDEM! I’ll be updating the his blog from time to time but everything that’s artsy fartsy and parenting to technology would definitely be on GEDDEM — and if I’m not lazy enough I’ll even copy && paste it onto here. Dear Lord, like I haven’t been craving for some Jimmy Choo’s already! Turns out the designer is moving into sneakers! These are a bit over priced for me for kicks: $625. However, they are Jimmy Choo…pretty sure no girl can resist him. What do you think? Overpriced? I personally wouldn’t buy these…being an average Asian Jane that is. Unless there’s a sugar daddy/mama that would like to buy me a pair (in black please). Any takers?

Wow, I’ve haven’t been blogging for quite a while! Sorry, folks! Been super busy since it’s this Bruin’s last year as an undergraduate. && I have to sadly note that Bruins did get defeated by Trojans in basketball…quite a sad moment but all shall pass. Other than that, too much has been happening; in fashion, reality, celeb life, etc. So, I shall just go on with what’s happening for now…
Those who enjoy literature should check out Edwidge Danticat who’ll be reading at Pomona College this February 18th, 7:30 PM. Her books include The Dew Breaker, which I’m currently reading for Interracial Encounters in Contemporary Literature.
ALSO, REST IN PEACE ALEXANDER MCQUEEN. Fashion world really took a hit when the fashion designer took his own life. My condolences to his family && friends… and also to his fans who I’ve been reading on twitter are very very very depressed. All I have to say is: cheer up, kids… Like what Thai River tweeted, “Life’s not over.” This just proves how precious life is && how we should embrace every step, every experience, and so on. Live life && don’t linger so long on life’s difficulties.
OH! For the twitters addicts out there: make sure you follow @RevRunWisdom ! He sure does tweet some inspiring things && quotes! I’m diggin’ them! Inspiring me and my well-being.
